Gifts cycling guys want

Dads, husbands, sons - however the male relationship, men are really easy to buy stuff for. Cycling guys are no different. If it's got wheels or it's made from bits of old bikes or it's a T-shirt with a bike on it, we want it.

Here are some suggestions:

Winners' Jerseys Espresso Cups by Coffee and Cols

These kiln-fired espresso cups were inspired by the celebrated jerseys of world cycling: the Tour de France Winner's Jersey (yellow), the Tour de France Points Winner jersey (green), the King of the Mountains jersey (polka dot), and the World Champion jersey (rainbow). Each thick-walled cup is finished in the classic Italian style and comes with a matching white saucer.

Bottle Bike Lock by Kuat

This is James Bond's bike lock - an unassuming 'water bottle' conceals 5 feet of 8mm cable coiled up inside. The bottom also unscrews to reveal a compartment underneath to hold cash and keys.

With no need to carry additional baggage, he can ride unencumbered, knowing that his bike will be safe whenever he decides to stop.

[Bear in mind this bottle lock doesn't actually carry any water – but he can fit a spare bottle in his new backpack from Osprey! (see next item)]

Bike Chain Bottle Opener by Resource Revival

If the man in your life is into cycling and recycling, then this is perfect! Graham Bergh and his team of gifted artisans in Mosier, Oregon, make an amazing range of funky household items from tons of recycled bike parts. Each month they collect 3,000 pounds of used parts, drawing from 150 shops in 17 states. The parts that still have life in them are donated to a local non-profit group that teaches bicycle repair to children, but the ones that are beyond repair are made into cool things like this bike chain bottle opener.

Oakley Jawbreaker Sunglasses

Oakley teamed up with former world champion Mark Cavendish to create these glasses, which offer a 44 percent larger field of view than other models. Your eyes are completely shielded, but the glasses are designed to maximize ventilation to help prevent fog buildup. Unlike previous Radar lenses, these are a snap to change with Oakley Switchlock Tech. They also come in a ton of sick colors, so you can be sure your man will be styling.

Louis Garneau LA84 Road Shoes

Classic lace-up style road shoes are all the rage right now, but many of them come with premium price tags. Not Garneau's LA84, which offers a stylish, perforated, seamless synthetic-leather upper on this sub-$100 cycling shoe. The nylon outsole isn't as stiff as carbon fiber but it's still pretty good, and is compatible with both three-bolt style cleats and two-bolt systems.
