Transition TR500 2 (2016)

The 2016 Transition TR500 2 is a mid-range downhill race bike. Built on the same high-performing aluminum frameset as the top-of-the-line models, for the 2 suspended with a Fox Factory shock and RockShox' BoXXer fork, providing 200+mm of very smooth, sensitive travel. Kit on this model hits the sweet spot between cost and performance, including Shimano's reliable Zee group for drivetrain and brakes, an ace wheelset, Joytech hubs laced to light, bombproof WTB rims clad in fat Maxxis Highroller DH treads, and a cockpit from Race Face, strong and very sturdy.
A very good downhill racer.
