Merida Speeder 300 (2016)

The world is flat – at least for fans of the MERIDA SPEEDER. High speed, zippiness and agility on narrow, smoothly rolling 700c tires is not reserved only for those who want to conquer the road with drop handlebars in their hands. Each bicycle in the 2016 SPEEDER family is nothing more and nothing less than a true road bike with straight handlebars. It doesn't matter if the bicycle has a heart of ultra-light carbon fiber or is built of lightweight and robust aluminum: anyone who says the word “SPEEDER” is thinking of fun paired with speed – and practicality that is higher than that of usual road bikes. In addition to the proven aluminum versions, with their downright suitability for daily commutes to the office, extensive training sessions, or relaxing leisure trips, the carbon versions starting with the 2016 models are even more sporty. They share their stiff but extremely comfortable frame with the brand-new CYCLO CROSS and rely on its strengths: disc brakes and a 15 mm through axle on the carbon fork (which is also new) ensure maximum precision while braking and maneuvering; furthermore, due to its 12 mm through axle, the rear wheel is perfectly aligned with the rear disc brake at all times. Internal cables (depending on model version), 28 mm wide tires with moderate profiles and the possibility of attaching fenders, a kickstand, and/or a bike rack (depending on model version) mark the SPEEDER as an overall concept that knows better than any other how to make everyday life extremely sporty.
