The Rims and Spokes: Inter Spoke Milling (ISM) results in a lighter rim that is equally rigid; a magic equation that reduces inertia to free extra power for climbing. An extremely strong rim joint, or SUP, eliminates shuddering when braking and provides superior wheel balance. Double butted steel spokes are laced using the Isopulse method (radially on the drive side, 2 cross on non-drive) to integrated M7 aluminum nipples with dry thread lock achieve high end responsiveness. Isopulse maximizes drive side dish to provide a better spoke tension balance between left and right flanges. The result is better wheel stability, higher stiffness, and superior energy transmission under heavy load.
The Hubs and Bearings: the contact area between the pawl and the hub body is reinforced by two stainless steel inserts, which allows for the use of a 100% aluminum hub body. The result is a lightweight, strong hub design for better transmission of your effort over the entire wheel revolution. QRM+ are Mavic's super light, double sealed bearings that use a micro-adjustability system. A free adjustment for maximum fluidity and a high precision setting for all-weather rides.
The Tires: The Yksion Pro PowerLink tire is specifically designed for the rear wheel. It has a harder tread compound for low rolling resistance. It has a supple 120 TPI nylon casing and a Kevlar breaker for optimized puncture and cut resistance.
