Features | Utilizing the same manufacturing techniques & materials as our Xenith Competition series,
the Xenith Endura features a slightly longer wheelbase for stability, tuned rear stays for
more vertical compliance, longer head tubes for increased handlebar height and a slacker HT
angle for increased steering stability.
The Endura still retains many of the key design features that won awards and races for our
Xenith Competition series: a 1 1/8-1.5" head tube/fork steerer, Press Fit 30 bottom bracket
system, Tri-Oval top and down tubes, asymmetrical chainstays, SST differential tubing
diameters, one-piece forged dropouts, dual seat tube slots for secure post clamping, a clamp
on front derailleur for more adjustability and clamp-load spreading on the seat tube, and
small SST diameter twin seat stays for optimal vertical compliance.
The Xenith Endura series is designed with flexibility in mind, like long-reach brakes for greater
tire selection and room for fenders, and rear eyelets for a brake bridge mounted rear carrier.
Our Dyad Elite lay-up process and small SST diameter seat stays deliver a silky smooth ride
with greater vertical compliance without sacrificing frame stiffness thanks to the "muscle"
shaped asymmetrical chainstays with the driveside 10% larger than the non-driveside,
yielding 30% more volume & stiffness to offset drivetrain torque.
Our taller head tubes yield a slightly higher handlebar height for those riders that want a high
performance ride but prefer to ride with a more upright riding posture.
The larger 46mm bore diameter of the Press Fit 30 BB system increases ply compaction
yielding a lighter frame with increased frame strength. The key difference with Press
Fit 30 is how the bearings are fitted into the frame. Bearings are housed in nylon cups
that are pressed into the frame's bottom bracket shell. Like BB30, Press Fit 30 uses the
same bearing that is designed for a 30mm spindle cranksets. Advantages of Press Fit 30:
Improved bearing-to-shell interface, greater bearing durability and simple installation.
Fully integrated cables with enclosed BB cable guide system completes the already great
frame package
Shimano's RS30 16/20H wheelset starts with a 30mm aero rim profile, asymmetric offset
drilled rear rim with straight pull double butted bladed spokes and a wide flange spacing that
provides lateral support for superior strength. This wheelset is durability, responsive and
lightning-fast.
Shimano's Ultegra compact 50/34T crank with Press Fit 30 and Wheels MFG adaptors take
full advantage of the oversized BB shell, larger BB30 bearings while keeping a full Shimano
group for better shifting.
Shimano's 6700 Ultegra drivetrain assures light, precise shifting over all 20 speeds, with the
11/28T cassette providing lower gears for climbing the steepest grades.
Shimano BR-451 long-reach brakes offer plenty of clearance for a greater choice of tires
and fenders.
Vittoria Zaffiro 25c tires have slightly more volume than 23c racing tires for increased
stability, control and a better ride.
Ritchey Logic bars feature a short reach (73mm) super shallow (128mm) drop for more a
comfortable riding position. Add gel inserts and bar tape and you can ride all day!
Selle San Marco's Ponza Power Arrowhead saddle offers slightly more padding and a center
relief channel for long distance comfort. |
