Features | The Quest frame features Size Specific Tubing (SST): smaller frames are
constructed with smaller diameter tubing to retain resiliency and ride quality,
while larger frames are constructed using larger diameter tubing to retain
stiffness for larger riders.
Reynolds 631 air-hardened chromoly actually gains strength in the weld zone
area, instead of losing it like all other welded material, allowing Reynolds to
draw this tubing thinner, for a lighter, stiffer frame with outstanding "feel".
Heat-treated chromoly rear stays and investment cast dropouts increase
torsional stiffness by 30%.
Our full carbon fiber composite unicrown fork is significantly lighter than most
3-piece carbon forks (made with heavier chromoly or alloy steerers and alloy
crowns) found at this level.
Shimano's 100% 105 drivetrain assures light, precise shifting over all 20
speeds.
Shimano's FC-R565 compact crankset with external BB4600 and full Shimano
drivetrain offers best in class shifting performance
The compact crankset concept is revolutionary: a 34T inner chainring offers a
15% lower gear ratio than the traditional 39T double ringed road cranks, but
the 50T outer loses only 6% off the top end compared to the 53T traditional
outer.
Ritchey's COMP Zeta wheelset features CNC cold forged hubs, DT Champion
spokes and a 6061 aluminum rim that is exceptionally strong and thanks to
the 24mm rim profile provides more lateral rigidity and radial give. Rear rim
offset spoke hole drilling and inboard non-drive flange on hub reduces dish and
increase strength
Shimano's R450 Super SLR long reach brakes feature industry-leading
pad compound for improved modulation and secure all-conditions stopping
performance and offer enough clearance for wider tires (up to 32mm) and
fenders.
Ritchey's Logic over-sized 31.8 handlebar, stem and seat post combination
delivers comfort, light weight and reliability at a critical rider contact point.
Vittoria's Zaffiro Pro 25c tires hold just enough air volume to make for a
comfortable & stable ride, yet are narrow enough to roll nearly as fast as 23c
racing tires. |
