Our full carbon, disc-specific fork features a tapered steerer tube for increased
stiffness and strength and has been designed specifically to manage the brake torque
generated by the disc brake at the fork tips.
Designing the fork to incorporate a 1.5" crown race allowed us to produce a fullhollow
fork, from steerer tube through crown and down to the dropouts: it's not just
lighter, it's stronger!
The larger 46mm bore diameter of the Press Fit 30 BB system increases the
frame's bottom bracket shell providing a larger welding surface that increases frame
strength. The key difference with Press Fit 30 is how the bearings are fitted into the
frame. Bearings are housed in nylon cups that are pressed into the frame's bottom
bracket shell. Like BB30, Press Fit 30 uses the same bearing that is designed for
a 30mm spindle cranksets. Advantages of Press Fit 30: Improved bearing-to-shell
interface, greater bearing durability and simple installation.
The oversized 34.9 seat tube and Ritchey 31.6 seat post provides a stronger pedaling
and "no footer" mounting platform.
Alex's disc-specific CXD3 wheelset offers double-wall rims, disc hubs with Japanese
sealed bearings (28/28H) and DT stainless spokes for enhanced durability in the
extreme elemnts of cyclocross.
Shimano's CX70 compact cross 46/36 crank with Press Fit 30 and Wheels MFG
adaptors take full advantage of the oversized BB shell, larger BB30 bearings while
keeping a full Shimano group for better shifting.
Avid's BB7 disc brakes offer powerful stopping with light action at the lever. Their
proprietary TRI-ALIGN Caliper Positioning System aligns pads with rotors easily &
perfectly all the time, every time. Dual knob pad adjustment that offers easy on the

at the Ultegra level. The increased accuracy, smoothness and reliability of electronic
shifting allows the rider to shift under load while the Electronic Intelligent System
calibrates the most optimal point in the rotation of the cassette and chainring making
the perfect shift.
