| Features | This newly designed Komodo frame features stout Kinesis-manufactured 7005
tubing, oversized rear stays and a tapered head tube to serve up strength and
stiffness for better handling and steering.
With the maximum bending load at the front of a bike being found at the
crown, a 1 1/8"-1.5" tapered head tube strengthens and stiffens the frame,
while helping to reduce weight at the same time.
A 35mm seat tube with 31.6mm seat post assures the stiffest possible
pedaling & steering platform, with a sloping top tube for low stand-over.
The Komodo's rear wheel is tucked super tight against the seat tube with short
410mm chainstays and 33mm tall seat stays. With our new dropouts, you've
got a stiffer, lighter and more responsive rear end.
RST's Dirt suspension fork offers aluminum lowers and 130mm of coil sprung,
hydraulic damped suspension travel with external preload adjust & stout 32mm
stanchions.
Disc hubs twist when disc brake calipers grab rotors during stops. This hub
twisting increases "pull" load on the nipples in the spoke bed. The Alex TD25
spoke bed is cleverly reinforced to resist disc brake torque and prevent spokes
& nipples from shearing at the spoke bed.
The new, larger volume Geax Mezcal 2.3 tires provide the same speed and
cornering as its smaller counterpart but handles the bigger rocks and technical
sections with ease. Truly unique in the market, this new Mezcal re-defines the
semi-slick.
TruVativ's Blaze cranks use AL-6066 forged alloy arms that are 30% stronger
than 6061-T6 cranks. The Blaze 2.0 AM crankset also features 36/24T heattreated
chainrings with an alloy bash guard to protect the rings and a Power
Spline BB interface for greater crank strength & rigidity.
FUNN is a brand of bike components for MTB riders who are not afraid of a
few scrapes and bruises as long as their bike outlasts anything they do. The
Flat Out bars and Crossfire stem and seat post use AL-6061-T6 as well as 3D
forging for durability and control.
