FeaturesD29 Pro's frame features a Dyad Elite lay-up of M30 and T700 high modulus carbon fiber to optimize ride quality, durability and stiffness. The SST differential tubing diameter design (larger diameters on larger frames, smaller diameters on smaller frames) supports big riders without punishing smaller ones. The large 46mm bore diameter of the Press Fit 30 BB system increases ply compaction yielding a lighter frame with increased frame strength. Bearings are housed in nylon cups that are pressed into the frame's bottom bracket shell. Like BB30, Press Fit 30 uses the same bearing that is designed for a 30mm spindle cranksets. Advantages of Press Fit 30: Improved bearing-to-shell interface, greater bearing durability and simple installation. The FOX Float 29 CTD 100mm travel fork features rebound adjust and 3-position damping (Climb, Trail and Descend modes) all with a 1.5" tapered steerer and 15mm QR axle for lightweight strength and stiffness. Shimano's MT-66 29" wheels feature a UST tubeless rim bead profile for easy set-up, new Shimano hubs updated with 2 pawls and 16 notches for quick engagement and angular contact cup & cone bearings for smooth rotation, longer durability and easy serviceability. Geax Mezcal 29" tires facilitate speed due to their modified semi-slick design and confidence inspiring cornering thanks to side knobs derived directly from those of the Gato making them an extraordinary all-rounder weapon for XC racing. A Shimano 38/24 crankset and 11-36 cassette supplies a light 2x10 set-up with a large range of gear ratios to take on any terrain. Shimano's SLX Hollowtech II crankset features a hollow forging for lighter weight with increased rigidity & pedaling efficiency. Shimano's XT Shadow derailleur features a quiet super low-profile design that won't slap the chainstay in rough riding conditions. New Shimano SLX M675 hydraulic brakes feature the Servo Wave cam system with a shorter-throw lever to increase power 14% over last years brakes. Ritchey's Pro cockpit parts are manufactured by a 3D-forging process yielding optimal grain structure and eliminating all internal imperfections, allowing Ritchey to use less material without sacrificing strength or durability. Jamis lock-on grips feature a dual compound including gel in the palm area for comfort and dual lock rings for no-slip security. WTB's Silverado features an elongated shell that offers superior racer-body fit. The long narrow length allows the rider more pedaling positions.
