FeaturesThe 2013 XCT 650's design is updated with a larger top tube and down tube to increase both lateral and torsional stiffness at the head tube junction. The mp4 multi-link suspension design is optimized to shed weight, maximize shock adjustability and offer superb pedaling efficiency with a progressive suspension leverage rate. The rear triangle of the XCT 650 has our mp4 forged alloy linkage paired with short seatstays, asymmetrical chainstays & 12x142mm thru-axle for easy wheel installation, strength and stiffness. Chain stay size has been increased 25% compared to 2012. Rock Shox Monarch RT3 rear suspension features a 3-position (open/platform/ lock) compression lever to adjust platform control pedaling efficiency and the Solo Air spring system with a single Schrader air valve simplifying suspension setup while retaining a lightweight and plush ride. The Rock Shox Revelation 650 RCT3 fork features 32mm upper tubes, a 3-position (open/platform/lock) compression lever to adjust platform control efficiency, external rebound adjust and the Solo Air spring system. American Classic's tubeless 650B wheels are lighter than many 26" wheelsets. The front hub is double sealed and features a 15mm axle and 17mm stainless steel bearings that resist fork flex. The rear hub features a 12mm axle and a 6 pawl, cam-actuated freehub engagement system that is specifically designed to handle the constant re-acceleration of XC racing and trail riding. Schwalbe Racing Ralph dual compound folding tires are low profile and fast rolling but feature "half-open" designed shoulder lugs that result in ultimate control when cornering. SRAM'S new X0 Type 2 rear derailleur features a roller bearing clutch to provide chain stability for rough trail conditions as well as a cage lock for easy wheel changes. This is not only one of the lightest RD's on the market but thanks to intelligent engineering with carbon & aluminum, it is also one of the toughest. Crank Brothers Iodine 2 stem utilizes an innovative single torx bolt at the steerer tube to adjust an aluminum plunger system to provide a more distributed and uniform clamping pressure, a cleaner surface and allow for much higher torque settings. Jamis lock-on grips feature a dual compound including gel in the palm area for comfort and dual lock rings for no-slip security. The new WTB Volt saddle utilizes a "whale tail" pad shape which helps increase power output by properly angling to the sit bones while climbing. A flex tuned shell and a Comfort Zone cut out below the nose increase comfort while riding on the front of the saddle.
