| Features | The XCT 650's design is updated with a larger top tube and down tube to
increase both lateral and torsional stiffness at the head tube junction. The
mp4 multi-link suspension design is optimized to shed weight, maximize shock
adjustability and offer superb pedaling efficiency with a progressive suspension
leverage rate.
The XCT 650 main frame features a 1 1/8" - 1.5" tapered head tube to
keep the frame light while increasing stiffness and strength at the crown
for improved handling and steering. Chain stay size has been increased 25%
compared to 2012.
The rear triangle of the XCT 650 has our mp4 forged alloy linkage paired with
short seatstays with a 3-D bridge, asymmetrical chainstays & 12x142mm thruaxle
for easy wheel installation, strength and stiffness.
The benefit of a 650B wheel size is that you get the BEST of both the 26" and
29" worlds without the negatives of each. 650B wheels offer almost all the
lightweight, acceleration and flick-ability assets of a 26" wheel while delivering
the great "roll over" attributes of a 29" wheel WITHOUT the weight penalty.
Rock Shox's Monarch R rear shock features external rebound damping and the
Solo Air spring system with a single Schrader air valve to simultaneously fill
both the positive and negative air chambers, simplifying suspension setup while
retaining a lightweight and plush ride.
The Rock Shox Revelation 650 RL fork features 32mm upper tubes, external
rebound adjust, lock-out lever and the Solo Air spring system with a single

Alex XD Sport rims feature stainless eyelets improving the seating of the nipple
head for a better built wheel.
Schwalbe Racing Ralph dual compound folding tires are low profile and fast
rolling but feature "half-open" designed shoulder lugs that result in ultimate
control when cornering.
Shimano's SLX 42/32/24 crankset and 11-36 cassette supply 30 speeds and a
full range of gear ratios to take on any terrain.
SLX RapidFire Plus shifters offer a "2-way" release, allowing the upper lever to
be pulled with the forefinger or pushed with the thumb depending upon rider
preference.
Shimano M445 brakes utilize mineral oil for hydraulic fluid which is non-corrosive
and much more environmentally friendly than standard DOT fluid.
Jamis lock-on grips feature a dual compound including gel in the palm area for
comfort and dual lock rings for no-slip security.
The new WTB Volt saddle utilizes a "whale tail" pad shape which helps increase
power output by properly angling to the sit bones while climbing. When the
climbing gets steep, scoot up on the Volt's drop nose. A flex tuned shell and a
Comfort Zone cut out below the nose increase comfort while riding on the front
of the saddle. |
