FeaturesThe XCR29 Comp's Kinesium triple-butted mp4 multi-link suspension design is optimized to shed weight and offer superb pedaling efficiency yet remain fully active with a near-vertical wheel axle travel path. It includes 10mm shock hardware, 12x142 rear thru axle for easy wheel installation and tapered head tube for increased lateral & torsional stiffness and performance. The rear triangle of the XCR29 has our mp4 forged alloy linkage paired with short seatstays with a 3-D bridge, asymmetrical chainstays & 12x142mm thruaxle for ultimate strength and stiffness. Chain stay size has been increased 25% compared to 2012. The XCR29 Comp's fully-active 100mm rear travel is controlled by a Rock Shox Monarch RL utilizing Solo Air technology with an external rebound adjust and lockout. The Solo Air feature allows air to fill both the positive and negative chambers using a single valve, simplifying suspension setup while retaining a plush ride. Rock Shox's Reba RL Solo Air 29'er fork features Motion Control, magnesium lowers, a tapered 1.5" steerer for stiffness, 15mm axle, an external rebound and a lock-out lever for on-the-fly adjustments. Alex XD Sport rims feature stainless eyelets improving the seating of the nipple head for a better built wheel. SRAM's S1000 crankset is forged out of AL-6066 alloy providing a crank that is both strong and light. SRAM's S1000 38/24 crankset and 11-36 cassette supplies a 2x10 set-up with a wide range of gear ratios to take on any terrain. SRAM's X9 10-speed rear derailleur features Exact Actuation and Direct Route cable technology for smooth, quick and precise shifting with less effort. Avid's Elixir 5 features an ambidextrous lever body featuring Tapered Bore technology, easy access tooled reach adjust and a 2-piece caliper all resulting in a light, great feeling brake. Ritchey's Comp 4-AXIS stem features an all new squared body profile for a stiffer ride and a wider 44mm front cap that supports more of the bar yielding more precise steering & handling. Jamis lock-on grips feature a dual compound including gel in the palm area for comfort and dual lock rings for no-slip security. The new WTB Volt saddle utilizes a "whale tail" pad shape which helps increase power output by properly angling to the sit bones while climbing. A flex tuned shell and a Comfort Zone cut out below the nose increase comfort while riding on the front of the saddle.
