| Features | The Sport Allegro frame is made from lightweight 6061 double-butted tubing
with top & down tubes hydro-formed for extra strength, eliminating the need
for welded-on gussets.
The head tube is designed to integrate the headset steering bearings into the
frame, eliminating the headset cups, reducing weight. Seatstays and chains
stays are "S"-bent to improve braking performance and increase heel clearance.
All Allegro frames offer a full complement of brazed-on, threaded accessory
mounts to simplify installation of carriers, fenders and water bottle cages.
Our chromoly straight-bladed tapered unicrown fork damps road vibration for a
smooth, comfortable ride.
Tektro's mini "V" brakes offer stop-on-a-dime braking performance with a
power modulator on the front for safe, secure braking.
The 21-speed Shimano EZ-Fire shifting drivetrain with 48/38/28 Shimano FCM171
crankset, Shimano RD-M360 rear derailleur, and 12-28t cassette offers
a much larger gear range, with much lower gearing, for easier hill climbing, than
standard 53/39 or compact 50/34 two ring road bike drivetrains.
The Alex rim/Formula hub wheel set is light, but tough, for on or off-road
durability, with excellent load carrying capability & handling.
Vittoria's Randonneur 32c tires offer low rolling resistance for a fast ride with
more air volume and a wider "footprint" than 25 or 28c tires for a comfortable,
confidence-inspiring ride. A "Double Shield" puncture-resistant barrier and
reflective sidewalls increase safety, security and peace of mind.
Our Jamis Trekking saddle is broader and more deeply padded than other road
saddles, but is still narrow & firm enough to promote higher cadence pedaling.
We outfit the Allegro Sport with an alloy hi-rise threadless stem and 60m of
"shim stack" spacers under the stem. In tandem with a generous head tube
length, handlebar height can be perfectly positioned to be both comfortable and
efficient.
Our dual-compound kraton grips offer an anatomical shape for increased
comfort and control. |
