FeaturesThe Allegro frame is made from lightweight 6061 double-butted tubing with top & down tubes hydro-formed for extra strength, eliminating the need for welded-on gussets. The head tube is designed to integrate the headset steering bearings into the frame, eliminating the headset cups, reducing weight. Seatstays and chains stays are "S"-bent to improve braking performance and increase heel clearance. All Allegro frames offer a full complement of brazed-on, threaded accessory mounts to simplify installation of carriers, fenders and water bottle cages. Our full carbon fiber composite unicrown fork is significantly lighter than most 3-piece carbon forks usually found at this level, since they are not full carbon, but instead have heavier chromoly or alloy steerers with alloy crowns. Our fork is not only lighter, but stiffer making it super-responsive to steering input. Tektro's mini "V" brakes offer stop-on-a-dime braking performance with a power modulator on the front for safe, secure braking. FSA's compact crankset includes a 34T inner chainring that delivers 15% lower gearing than a traditional 39T road chainring, and a 50T outer that loses only 6% off the top end compared to the traditional 53T outer. Coupled with Shimano's 2300 rear and R440 front derailleur 16-speed drivetrain and an 11-28 cassette, you get a wide range of gears with the shifting precision and performance of a road bike group. The 28 spoke Alex front wheel offer less aerodynamic drag than higher spoke count wheels with reduced weight for higher performance. Vittoria's Randonneur 32c tires offer low rolling resistance for a fast ride with more air volume and a wider "footprint" than 25 or 28c tires for a comfortable, confidence-inspiring ride. A "Double Shield" puncture-resistant barrier and reflective sidewalls increase safety, security and peace of mind. Selle San Marco's Elba saddle rides comfortably & efficiently with classy Italian styling. NVO Components ATS adjustable-height stem system is much lighter than traditional angle adjustable stems, and offers a much faster and easier method for adjusting handlebar height for more efficient and comfortable riding. Our dual-compound kraton grips offer an anatomical shape for increased comfort and control.
