GT recalls some 2017 mountain bikes due to concerns of handlebar failure

GT mountain bike are being recalled due to potentially hazardous handlebars.
Handlebars of some GT mountain bikes may crack and break.

Cycling Sports Group has issued a voluntary recall of several models of its GT brand mountain bikes after identifying, during ongoing product testing, a potential issue with the handlebars. In certain cases, the handlebars may develop small fatigue cracks over time that could lead to them fully breaking, potentially resulting in injury to the rider from losing control. No actual incidents of breakage or injury have been reported.

The recall affects 1,240 bikes in the U.S. and Canada and involves GT mountain bicycle 2017 models in a variety of colors: Karakoram Sport, Karakoram Comp, Aggressor Sport, Aggressor Comp, Aggressor Expert.
