Review
Raleigh created the perfect entry level bike for those gravel adventures. The Raleigh Willard 2's long wheelbase provided superior stability and miles of comfortable riding. The Shimano 105 drive train shifted flawlessly, but I would have liked to have seen an upgrade in this department. The price is comparable in respect to other gravel bikes. Stopping with the Willard 2 was a breeze with its TRP disc brakes that are duel piston cable pull. The 40c tires provided great traction and comfort while tackling off road trails. While riding on smooth surfaces, it felt as if the bike was floating.
I would highly recommend the Raleigh Willard 2 to any level of cyclist looking to break the barrier of the paved trail. The Raleigh Willard 2 will not disappoint.
The Willard 2 offers the performance of a cyclocross bike, the manners of an adventure touring rig, and the versatility of a commuter, all in one package. This unique bike features a tough aluminum frame and carbon fork for great handling, Shimano's 105 components handle shifting tasks, and parts from Novatec, Weinmann, and Prologo finish off the rest. Hit the roads or trails aboard the Willard 2...this bike can take it.
