Bike Roar is a Bicycle review website that connects its members / users to unbiased reviews of all ‘things’ cycling related. This Privacy Policy discloses the privacy practices for the BikeRoar website (the "Site"). BikeRoar ("us" "we" or "our"), is committed to protecting your privacy online. Please read the following to learn what information we collect from you ("you") and how we use that information. This Privacy Policy applies to all users of the BikeRoar Site. By using Bike Roar’s services and the BikeRoar website (including any content posted on the Site), you ("you") signify your acceptance of Bike Roar’s Terms of Service, including this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to the Terms of Service, you must discontinue using the Site.

1. Changes to Privacy Policy

Bike Roar may, in its sole discretion, modify or revise this Privacy Policy at any time by posting the amended terms on this Site at: http://www.bikeroar.com/privacy-policy. BikeRoar additionally will notify you via the email address you have associated with your account, so you must ensure that Bike Roar’s email is not filtered from your Inbox by your ISP or email software. You agree that your use of the BikeRoar Site, after the date on which the Privacy Policy is changed, will constitute your acceptance of the updated Privacy Policy, and that you agree to be bound by such modifications or revisions.

2. Information We Collect

a. Personally Identifiable Information

Personally Identifiable Information is information that identifies a specific user. When you engage in certain activities on the Site, such as creating an account, registering or updating your profile with us, we may ask you to provide certain personal information about yourself, including but not limited to, your first and last name, mailing address (including post code), email address, date of birth and gender. Depending on the activity, some of the information we ask you to provide is identified as mandatory and some is identified as voluntary.
If you do not provide the mandatory information for a particular activity that requires it, you will not be permitted to engage in that activity.

b. Non-Personally Identifiable Information

Non-Personally Identifiable Information is information that does not identify a specific user. This type of information may include things like the Uniform Resource Locator ("URL") of the website you visited before coming to our Site, the URL of the website you visit after leaving our Site, the type of browser you are using and your Internet Protocol ("IP") address. We, and/or our authorised Third Party Service Providers and Advertisers, may automatically collect this information when you visit our Site through the use of electronic tools like Cookies and Web beacons or Pixel tags.

c. Information Explicitly Granted by Social Network Platforms

If you access Bike Roar’s services on a "social network platform" (including but not limited to Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Google+), we will access and store the information explicitly allowed by the social network platform by their Terms of Service, once you explicitly allow us to do so, through an interface provided by the social network platform. As we do not have control over the user interface provided by social network platforms, we do not take any responsibility for any changes or problems with the interface or exchange of information provided by any of these social network platforms.
 
3. How We Use Your Information

We use Personally Identifiable Information to provide products and services to you, administer sweepstakes and contests, enhance the operation of the Site, improve our marketing and promotional efforts, analyse Site use, improve our product and service offerings, and to tailor your experience with third parties. If you use our Site to send information to another person, we may store your personal information, and the personal information of any recipient. We may use that other person's contact information to allow him or her to access the information you requested we send. We may also use Personally Identifiable Information to troubleshoot, resolve disputes, accomplish administrative tasks, contact you, enforce our agreements with you, including our Site Terms of Service and this Privacy Policy, comply with applicable law, and cooperate with law enforcement activities. We use Non-Personally Identifiable Information to troubleshoot, administer the Site, analyse trends, gather demographic information, comply with applicable law, and cooperate with law enforcement activities. We may also share this information with our authorised Third Party Service Providers and Advertisers to measure the overall effectiveness of our online advertising, content, and programming.

4. Sharing of Information

a. Personally Identifiable Information

We will not share your Personally Identifiable Information with other parties except as provided below: Upon purchase of an offer that is provided by a Third Party Partner, we may present you with the option of sharing some or all of your Personally Identifiable Information with that specific Partner. Such a situation could arise if, in process of purchasing an offer from them, the user desires to receive further communication from that Partner directly as a supplement to the communication through Bike Roar. We will not share any Personally Identifiable Information to any Third Party Partner without your explicit opt-in consent at the time of purchase of each such specific offer.

We may share your Personally Identifiable Information and your purchasing preferences with Merchants who, as part of the offer, request information about BikeRoar customers who purchased the offer. Sharing this Information will allow a Merchant to fulfill their obligations with respect to the purchase conditions, and to communicate with you should they choose to do so. However, we will only share Personally Identifiable information with a Merchant if you place make a purchase via a link on Bike Roar, and then only to the Merchant from which the purchase was made.

We inform Merchants that they are only permitted to communicate with you for purposes related to the specific item purchased with Bike Roar’s assistance. We do not have any responsibility for the actions of the Merchant, and the actions of the Merchant are not in our control. We may share your information with Authorised Third Party Service Providers. We provide some of our services and products through third parties. These "Third Party Service Providers" perform functions on our behalf, like sending out and distributing our administrative and promotional emails.

We may share your Personally Identifiable Information with such Service Providers to fulfill orders, deliver packages, send postal or email, administer contests or sweepstakes, remove repetitive information on customer lists, analyse data, provide marketing assistance, provide search results and links, operate the Site, troubleshoot, and provide customer service. We encourage Merchants and Third Party Service Providers to adopt and post privacy policies.

However, the use of your Personally Identifiable Information by such parties is controlled by those parties, and thus not subject to our control. b. Non-Personally Identifiable Information We may disclose or share Non-Personally Identifiable Information with Partners, Affiliates and Advertisers. For example, we may share aggregated demographic information (which does not include any Personally Identifiable Information) with "Third Party Advertisers" or "Third Party Advertising Companies".

 We may use Third Party Advertising Companies to serve ads when you visit our Site. These companies may use Non-Personally Identifiable Information about your visits to this and other websites in order to provide advertisements about goods and services that may be of interest to you. We also use Third Party Service Providers to track and analyse Non-Personally Identifiable usage and volume statistical information from our users to administer our Site and constantly improve its quality. We may also publish this information for promotional purposes or as a representative audience for advertisers.

 Please note that this is not Personally Identifiable Information, only general summaries of the activities of our users. Such data is collected on our behalf, and is owned and used by us.

c. Other Circumstances

We may also share your Personally Identifiable or Non-Personally Identifiable information under certain circumstances without your consent, including:

a. To enforce our Terms of Service;

To comply with legal requirements including but not limited to court order or subpoena or to prevent or investigate suspected fraud, violations of our Terms of Service, or activity that appears to us to be illegal or may expose us to legal liability we may, without your consent, access and disclose your information, any communications sent or received by you, and any other information that we may have about you or your account;

c. In situations that we believe involve potential threats to the physical safety of any person or property, if we believe that your information in any way relates to that threat;

d. In the event that BikeRoar sells substantially all of its assets or a line of business, or is acquired or merged with another company, personally identifiable information of our Members may be one of the assets sold or merged in connection with that transaction. BikeRoar will notify users of the Site of such a change in ownership or transfer of assets by posting a notice on the Site and emailing to the address you have provided us;

5. To provide information to trusted businesses or persons for the sole purpose of processing personally identifying information; and

6. With trusted third parties that provide services on our behalf or with whom we have collaborated to offer a particular service. We reserve the right to add, remove or change our business partners from time to time.

7. Updating and Correcting Information

We believe that you should have the ability to access and edit the Personally Identifiable Information you provide us. You may change any of your Personally Identifiable Information by logging into your account profile, or by sending us an email at: support@bikeroar.com Please indicate your name, address and email address, and what information you would like to update when you contact us. You agree to maintain accurate contact information and to promptly update your Personally Identifiable Information if it changes. You may ask to have the information on your account deleted or removed; however, because we keep track of past transactions, you cannot delete information associated with past transactions on the Site. In addition, in may be impossible for us to completely delete all of your information because we periodically backup information.

8. User Choices on Collection and Use of Information

You can always choose not to provide information, although it may be required to engage in a certain activity on the Site. As a condition of use of the site and services it provides, we will send you Administrative and Promotional emails. We will send you information regarding your account activity and purchases as well as updates about our products and promotional offers. You cannot opt-out of Administrative Emails. "Administrative Emails" relate to a User's activity on the Website, and include emails regarding a particular User's account, requests or inquiries, purchases of products and services, and notifications regarding our Terms and policies. You do have the choice to opt-out of receiving Promotional Emails. Promotional Emails advertise our products and services, including exclusive sales and other offers, and/or the products and services of our Advertisers and Affiliates. If you do not want to receive Promotional Emails from us, you may elect to opt-out of receiving Promotional Emails at any time after registering by e-mailing us at support@bikeroar.com by writing to us at the address contained herein, by hitting the "unsubscribe" button at the bottom of any of our e-mails, or by changing your "email subscription" details via the "My Account" page on the Site. When contacting us, please indicate your name, address, email address, and what Promotional Emails you do not want to receive.


9. Security

We take security seriously and take numerous precautions to protect the security of Personally Identifiable Information. You can access your Personally Identifiable Information on our Site through a password and your email address. We recommend that you do not share your password with anyone. In addition, your Personally Identifiable Information resides on a secure server that only selected personnel and contractors have access to. WE MAKE NO GUARANTEE OF CONFIDENTIALITY OR PRIVACY OF ANY COMMUNICATION OR INFORMATION TRANSMITTED TO OR FROM THE SITE. This site is a general usage site. Minors under the age of 13 must have parental consent to use the Site. We do not collect or maintain information from anyone known to be under the age of 13.
