Review

The SuperSix is a modern day classic and could be considered one of the great road racing frames of the modern era. This is a real racer's bike, and with low height head tube and short wheelbase the design's purpose is clear. If you want to race criteriums or just generally like a super stiff, fast bike under your bum there are few that can match the Cannondale.

This is an entry level version, so you get a 'real' bike for a good price. The speccing of Shimano 105 components is a good choice at this level and their flawless performance complements such a fine frameset well. The wheels are probably a little on the heavy side to really appreciate this bike's ability to accelerate but that is an easy upgrade for race day.

While this is an awesome bike, if you're riding is more of the "all day out" variety at tempo than perhaps look elsewhere. The geometry, wonderful tight handling and stiffness does not lend itself quite as well to the more relaxed rider.

Also if you plan on upgrading to an electronic groupset bear in mind that this 'classic' frame uses external cable routing and is not set up for internal wiring.

Cannondale continue on with a real winner in the SuperSix.

Description

Grand Tour winning technology

The same SuperSix technology that carried Liquigas-Cannondale to overall victory in the Giro d'Italia and Vuelta a Espana is now available to more riders. The same frame design, same hourglass seatstays, same BeatBox BB cluster. A slightly different carbon layup is all that separates this SuperSix from its Grand Tour winning brethren.
