The 2017 Bridgestone Extenza RR2X is a high-end road racing tire. The company spent many hours on design, experimentation, and extensive road testing to hone this latest incarnation of the Extenza to its podium-ready state. Traction is exceptional; Bridgestone has changed the base compound and even the inflated profile of the tire to optimize contact on wet pavement. All roadies will appreciate the durability of the Extenza; aside from its long-wear tread, the puncture-resistant aramid beneath the surface fends off the worst depredations at a small cost in grams. This, the most heavy-duty of Bridgestone's road racing tires, weighs in at only 230 grams in 25mm.
