Description

The 2017 Kona Honzo AL is a mid-range trail bike. A hardtail with progressive geometry for the confidence of full-suspension in a light, nimble package, the AL's aluminum frame and RockShox fork are built up with top-notch componentry, from the Shimano hydraulic disc brakes and SRAM NX drivetrain to the light, strong Kona cockpit and stiff RaceFace crank. Wheels are rock solid: Deore hubs, WTB rims, and fat Maxxis Ardent treads spin up quickly, shrug off hits easily, and hold fast effortlessly.
A very good trail bike.

The 2017 Kona Big Honzo DL is a fat trail bike. A trail fat bike. It's genius, is what it is; Kona took its ace hardtail trail bike, lost the 29ers, and swapped in fat, 27.5" Schwalbes, high-volume Nobby Nics that thrive in any situation, the open tread shedding mud easily, the side blocks hooking up nicely, and the soft compound sticking to the slipperiest roots and rocks. The rest of the kit is solid, SRAM and Shimano sharing braking and shifting chores and RockShox smoothing out the ride.
A very good plus-size trail bike.

The 2017 Kona Big Honzo is a fat-wheeled trail bike. An adventurous soul, this bike is confident in treacherous terrain, sure-footed and nicely balanced, keeping the rider centered and quick to respond. The frameset is light alloy, with a snug rear triangle, a roomy cockpit, and 120mm of progressive suspension courtesy of RockShox. Kit is reliable and high-performance: SRAM's one-ring NX drivetrain shifts quickly and with precision, Shimano's hydraulic discs offer loads of stopping power, and the fast-rolling Deore/WTB wheelset is clad in Schwalbe's go-anywhere Nobby Nics.
A very good trail bike.
