The 2016 Transition TR500 3 is a downhill race bike. Entry level by Transition's standards, the TR500 3 is a full-on racer by anyone else's: its light, stiff aluminum frame and swingarm are coupled with Rock Shox' Kage shock, pairing nicely with the BoXXer RC fork for a responsive ride that can take whatever you throw at it, soaking up the hits smoothly with over 200 mm of travel front and rear. Race Face provides the sturdy cockpit and efficient crankset, the latter meshing smoothly with the SRAM drivetrain; Shimano's Deore brakes offer sure stopping power; and the Joytech/WTB wheels roll confidently on Maxxis' DH-specific treads.
A very good downhill racer.
