| Features | C9-12: The Rallon C9-12 pivot system is based around a concentric pivot at the rear axle. It is simpler, lighter, and stiffer. This system is compatible with standard quick release and 12x142mm thru-axle rear hubs. The concentric pivot design also allows for a stronger, quieter post-mount disc brake attachment. ISCG 05: The Rallon bottom bracket shell features removable ISCG 05 chainguide tabs to allow you the ability to mount a chain retention device if you choose. It is the current standard for mount design, and it is possible to customize the level of chain retention with readily available after-market systems. Downtube Cable Highway: The Downtube Cable Highway keeps things tidy and simple on the Rallon. The cables run along the upper part of the downtube before looping gently, near the pivot point, towards the rear derailleur and rear brake. This routing system looks great, and it prevents cable rub and unwanted bulging when the suspension system moves through its travel range. This system increases performance and decreases maintenance. Direct Post Mount 180: The Direct Post Mount allows the disc brake caliper to bolt directly to frame without the use of an adapter. It is a simpler, stronger, and lighter system this way. It also serves to minimize vibration and, therefore, unwanted brake noise. The Direct Post Mount system on the Rallon is designed for use with 180mm or larger rotors. Dropper Post Routing: The Downtube Cable Highway system on the Rallon includes space for three cables/hoses. One space is intended for a dropper seatpost remote. The cable or hose runs along the left side of the top of the downtube and can be run up the seat tube internally for use with a RockShox Reverb Stealth or externally for any other dropper post. Frame Protection: The Rallon frameset includes a dual-compound chainstay protector. It is bombproof, snaps around the chainstay for security, and acts to armor the frame from rock strikes or chain slap. It protects your bike and makes it quieter too. Adjustable Geometry: The Adjustable Geo on the Rallon allows you to make small, but effective adjustments to custom tune the ride and behaviour of the Rallon for a variety of trail conditions. A simple rotation of the eccentric shock mount hardware can change the angles by 0.5° and the bottom bracket height by 7mm. Use the lower setting for ultra-high speed descents where a low center-of-gravity and steering stability is paramount. Use the higher setting for more technical trails where quicker steering and more ground clearance is desirable. Enduro Max Black Oxide: The Rallon uses Enduro Max Black Oxide bearings at the suspension pivot points. These bearings are made specifically for extreme use - each cartridge is assembled without retainers to maximize space for more balls – 40% more balls than a standard bearing. The balls are grade 10 to ensure super smooth performance, and the black oxide coating resists corrosion to ensure that they stay that way. They also use a double lip seal to offer maximum protection against the intrusion of contaminants. And just in case, each cartridge is packed with CRC Marine Grease for maximum protection and lubrication in the harshest conditions. |
