The Terra definitely has rugged good looks appeal. But although it looks shallower in profile than some, it sits quite low and rides like a good compromise between the deeper shells of what are becoming known as ‘trail’ helmets and the go-faster sleeker lines of a cross-country lid.

The continuous loop construction of the chinstrap makes adjustment very much easier and there are no sharp or flapping webbing ends to contend with. Fit tweaking is done with a standard dial at the back, with increments small enough to get optimum comfort, and a positive ‘click’ into position. The vents are good too, with room for generous airflow through and over the top of the head.
