The 2017 Giant Defy Advanced SL 1 is a top-end road race bike. The frameset is identical to the top-of-the-line 0, kitted out with proven high-performance componentry: Shimano's stalwart Ultegra group delivers quick, precise shifts, the 685 levers unintrusively incorporating the hydraulic reservoir for the 805 brakeset; Giant's WheelSystem integrates fast-rolling composite rims, thru-axles, and Sapim spokes; and the all-carbon cockpit is light, sturdy, and quite comfortable - the bar excels at absorbing road vibration.
A very good all-round road racer.
