The 2013 Diamondback Steilacoom RCX Pro is the perfect embodiment of everything Northwest. It’s well-equipped to tackle any single track, mud field, sand pit, staircase, hurdle or inclement weather between the starting gate and the finish line. At the core is the DBR CX Pro Spec Fully Butted 7005 Alloy Competition Cyclocross frame with formed top tube and an integrated headtube. The frame is light and durable which is something that we look for in a cross bike. The formed top tube features a flat bottom for easy portage over any hurdle.
Paired well with the frame is a DBCX carbon fork that’s exceptionally strong and stiff. With a tapered 1.5” carbon steerer set up for canti or V-brakes it is ready to crush the competition.
Component setup comes in proper with an impressive SRAM build. 10spd 1070 cassette, chain, Force derailleurs and shifters—this is a dream bike. SRAM’s carbon S950 crankset, with BB30 technology, offers a light weight and exceptionally stiff pedaling platform. A 46t-36t double set gets you up to speed efficiently, and the TRP Shorty Cross V-Brakes will make slow you back down.
Easton EA90 rims continue the theme of “what else?” Michelin Cyclocross Mud 2 700×30c tires create a grippy equation for any situation.
The cockpit is all FSA carbon, as is the seatpost. Nothing was overlooked on this bike, making it a stone cold stunner.
