| Features | Aero design The Aero frame is manufactured using the same innovative technology used in BH’s Ultralight. In this innovative process carbon is cut using a special CNC tool which accurately separates each of the carbon sheets to ensure a precise and highly controlled layup. This technology allows us to control, optimize and customize the carbon layup for the ideal wall thickness in various parts of the frame, and minimize overlap, to ensure the stiffest, lightest frame possible. Our proprietary manufacturing process uses a combination of high, to mid-modulus formula 1 grade carbon to achieve the strength, stiffness and ride quality standards required by BH. The impressive and effective aero design of the Aero incorporates years of experience applied by BH’s engineers to achieve optimum aerodynamics, and biometrically correct geometry. Formula generated tube sections were developed, extensively analyzed and tested to maximize frame aerodynamics without effecting frame stiffness. 1. Oversized bottom bracket The Aero is designed around the BB386EVO bottom bracket system, allowing for larger downtube and chainstay cross sections for increased torsional stiffness and reduced weight. The combination of the oversized BB386EVO design, together with the position and shape of the chainstays, give the the Aero adequate clearance for even the widest aero wheel designs. 2. Internal cable routing for mechanical or electronic systems The unique internal cable guide system of the Aero accepts either mechanical or electronic shift systems. 3. Brake compatibility The ingenious frame design will accept almost all of the current brake systems, including Magura hydraulic and Shimano’s new post mount Dura Ace aero brake. 4. Seat post The perfect position The aerodynamic seatpost is infinitely adjustable between 74° and 80° to ensure the correct position and best geometry for any cyclist. 5. Head tube The narrow 1 1/8” tapered head tube design, integrated with our new Aero adjustable headset spacing system, allows this aggressive design to accommodate a wide range of riding positions. 6. Integrated stem The new Aero stem made from 100% carbon, is perfectly integrated with the frame and provides additional stiffness and performance. The +/-12º design is available in 80-120mm sizes and is designed to be flipped in either direction while maintaining its aero profile and achieving the perfect fit for a wide range of riders. 7. Water bottle positions The Aero has three different water bottle mounting positions, giving the rider more hydration options for longer training rides or races. Geometry and sizes The Aero is available in four sizes, XS to XL, maintaining BH’s reputation for providing the perfect fit. |
