The Avanti Corsa SL 1 is the perfect mountain goat road bike. With its lightweight carbon frame and bulletproof Shimano 105 drivetrain, you'll be able to mash this bike up hills with very little effort.
After taking my turn on the Corsa SL 1, I found the steering and handling super tight and very responsive. This is definitely a bike that you point where you want it to go and it will follow suit. I felt like I had great control on the road, and with every turn, the Corsa SL 1 responded right away.
The finish of this bike is great; the color scheme that Avanti uses makes this look like a feared racing machine.
The ride quality was good, and the carbon ADT R5 Monocoque forks do a fantastic job of reducing most vibrations from the ground. I rode this bike for a decent amount of time, and without gel gloves my hands didn't go numb or tingle. This bike performs well, and achieves speed in no time at all. Thanks to the lightweight frame, I was able to go up those hills with what seemed like less effort than it would normally take me. After getting back from my ride, I was quite impressed with Avanti's design for this bike. It's a great bike that's fun to ride. I didn't have any issues with shifting, the handling was perfect, and although it has a lightweight frame, this bike really sticks to the grounds and allows your power to be transferred into the wheelset.
The Shimano RS010 Wheelset does a great job rolling you around and can withstand the most punishing of situations.
This nimble bike is definitely a contender in the racing world. Its quick, agile handling would be a perfect bike for those weekend crits. If you're someone who has their race specific bike, then the Avanti Corsa SL 1 would be a great second bike or training bike. We all know that we can always use one more bike.
