The 2017 Avanti Competitor 7.1 is a hardtail cross-country bike. The entry model to Avanti's Competitor racing series, the 7.1 is equipped with a speed-tuned aluminum frame, the stays surprisingly slender yet strong, a steep main triangle, paired with RockShox' Gold fork to deliver trail-holding speed. Kit is very good: a Shimano Deore/XT mix drivetrain for fast, dependable shifts, M396 hydraulic discs for all-condition stopping power, and a light, fast-rolling alloy wheelset for dusting your rivals.
