All six oversized pawls engage in unison whenever drive torque is applied. No other multiple pawl system on the market can ensure that all pawls are engaged at the same time.
The secondary ratchet system does the coasting and forces engagement of the large pawls only for drive torque transfer. What does this mean? The unique internal system offers 1/3rd less drag with superior roll speed and longer wear life of the pawls. Despite the fact the system engages slightly slower than others on the market, you never lose the forward inertia thus the response is just as quick and instant.
In addition the symmetrical hi-flanges are spaced for more balanced spoke tensions. For increased stiffness, we are using a 17mm hollow axle and all stainless bearings for improved durability & smoothness.
