Description

The Cervelo S5 Ultegra is designed to cut through the wind and be lightweight. It is made of carbon fiber and is paired with Shimano Ultegra components to give you quick, precise shifts every time.

The Felt AR4 offers an advanced aerodynamic road racing machine at a price that's not astronomical. This bike features an aggressively-shaped aero carbon frame and fork for incredible stiffness, stability, and power transfer. Shimano Ultegra components make up the drivetrain, and parts from FSA, Prologo, Vittoria, and Felt round out the spec. A Shimano factory wheelset completes this fun and fast package.

Scott's Foil 10 is a pure-bred racing machine that benefits from aerodynamic shaping to offer riders an advantage against the wind. This bike features an ultralight, stiff carbon frame and fork for awesome racing performance. Shimano Ultegra components make up the drivetrain, and parts from Syncros, Ritchey, and Continental take care of the rest. A Syncros wheelset is the finishing touch here.

BH's G6 Ultegra gives racers and speed enthusiasts a sharp, stable ride that also fights wind resistance. This high-performance bike features an extensively aero-shaped carbon frame and fork; stiff for great power transfer but leaving the wind nowhere to hide. Shimano's Ultegra components make up the drivetrain, and parts from Michelin, FSA, San Marco, and BH round out the spec. A Vision wheelset keeps this bike flying down the road.

Wind Tunnel: This product directly benefited from advanced computer design work using Computational Fluid Dynamic (CFD) software from CD-Adapco as well as extensive wind tunnel testing to make them as aerodynamically efficient and technologically advanced as possible.

Internal Cable Routing: This indicates the use of flow-through internal cable routing. It reduces wind drag and prevents contaminants from entering and interfering with the function of brake or shifter cables.

InsideOut: InsideOut is a revolutionary internally optimized molding process that completely eliminates excess material, and therefore weight, inside the frame tubes and junctions. Placing polyurethane inserts inside the frame during the molding process—especially at the bottom bracket and head tube area—and then applying a precise amount of pressure and heat results in perfectly formed tubes, inside and out.

F01 Aero Technology: F01 Technology is based on the theory that a partial airfoil shape without the trailing edge can produce the same aerodynamic advantage as a traditional foil shape. Modern foil shapes are largely based on models and ratios created for airplanes by the National Advisory Committee for Aeronautics (NACA), but because bicycles attain speeds far less than those of airplanes, these ratios do not necessarily apply to bikes. SCOTT Aero Science engineers have thus developed F01 Technology to create unique, bicycle specific tube shapes which maximize aerodynamic efficiency at lower air speeds.
Fuselage Interaction: Every tube in the frame is oriented in relation to the leading edges of the down tube and head tube, as these are the first points of contact for any wind influence. The rear stays are oriented 4 degrees from the seat tube plane to route air from the front triangle around the rear triangle cleanly, and are constructed with a carbon layup that additionally results in vertical compliance.
Integrated oversize BB: The down tube flares at the oversize bottom bracket junction achieving several design goals. This construction adds lateral stiffness without increasing wall thickness, and the new bottom bracket mold disperses loads to effectively half the stress on this crucial junction. The shape of the down tube and bottom bracket carries seamlessly into the chain stays, further reducing turbulence and creating an additional aero benefit. Also, the drive side outer diameter of the bottom bracket conveniently accommodates an SRM or power meter.
IMP Carbon Mainframe: Our engineers have developed IMP™, the newest technology applied to carbon production. Our proprietary process allows for lighter construction by removing 11% of the material from the headtube intersection while increasing strength by utilizing high modulus stressed fibers for more precise fiber placement in critical areas. To compliment the IMP™ process, our frames benefit from our Naked External Tubeset™, which eliminates the cosmetic carbon layer to shave precious grams. Both HMX and HMF fibers are used in our carbon frames ensuring the utmost durability, security, and longevity for the frame.

A completely new and lighter frame: Designed for road bicycle racing, the new G6 maximises its aerodynamic qualities. From the first turn of the pedals, the G6 displays an enormous power and shows how all the small details are important at top-level competition. The new G6 range has improved in lightness and rigidity because it is made in one carbon piece, as so is the front derailleur and cable guide slots.
Core Removal Technology: The G6 is a one-piece frame manufactured entirely with carbon fibres. Just like in the Ultralight frame, it has been manufactured using core removal technology, which consists in a high-pressure system that avoids creating any bubbles or imperfections within the carbon. This exclusive system brings out the best quality of the compact material and eliminates any inconsistent pressure within the mould.
1.5” Integrated carbon conical headset: The 1.5" carbon conical headset, fully integrated into the G6 frame, produces exceptional torsion stiffness ratios and provides great handling. The diagonal section of the new G6's head tube has been reduced in over 11% for more efficiency and lower wind resistance.
The most aerodynamic fork: The fork is manufactured in one carbon piece, and it includes a base for the 1.5" conical bearing in its design. This innovative fork gives shape to one of the lightest and most resistant frames once integrated into the aero racing frame of the G6. It is, without a doubt, the most aerodynamic fork that BH has ever manufactured.
Oversized bottom bracket: The G6's bottom bracket has been oversized to incorporate the BB386EVO system, which ensures greater torsion stiffness and cycling efficiency. Thanks to its 86.5 mm base the surface, rigidity and resistance has been increased. This innovation has enabled BH to increase the size of the down tubes up to a diameter of 80 mm, thus reducing the thickness of the walls and increasing the torsion stiffness in the crankset and frame rear areas.
Cable guides within the frame: The original cable guiding system designed by BH for the G6 permits the integration of mechanical or electronic systems, guaranteeing maximum protection.
Sloping geometry: Just like in the preceding G5 range, the G6 has sloping geometry. The head tube has been slightly lifted, the rear triangle has been shortened and the seat's angle has been slightly modified to place the centre of gravity in a lower position than usual with the aim of achieving optimum handling and immediate acceleration.
