| Features | Long-range battery:
High-capacity battery offers great range from charge to charge, so you can go and go. It provides an average range of 25 miles at maximum assist, and even more for frugal riders.
Rechargeable battery:
Ride+ lithium ion batteries hold their charge for an exceptionally long time. And when the low battery indicator tells you it’s time to recharge, you can remove the battery or leave it on the bike, and plug it in to any standard electrical outlet.
Regenerative braking:
Put Ride+ into regenerative mode while going downhill, and the motor will keep the bike at a constant speed while converting the remaining downhill momentum into energy. Ride+ uses that energy to charge the battery, maximizing battery life over longer rides.
Ride+:
Trek Ride+ is your power, plus. When you engage the electric assist, it provides a boost to your own pedal power. It’s fun, smooth, and easy to control the level of assistance. Unlike mopeds or scooters, Ride+ has no throttle. Just engage the Trek Syn Drive, choose the level of assistance, and go.
Silent Drive motor:
Our high-performance brushless hub motor eliminates friction and wear on internal parts. Its smooth, quiet ride maximizes the lithium ion battery’s energy and provides powerful torque at a wide range of speeds. Hills? Headwinds? Heavy load? No problem.
Syn Drive controller:
Trek’s innovative Syn Drive electronic motor management system constantly adjusts power flow based on pedaling force, resistance, and speed, for a very natural-feeling cycling experience with an extra boost. You control it with an easy-to-use handlebar-mounted computer that also displays battery life, assistance level, time, speed, and distance.
Alpha Gold Aluminum frame:
Our high-performance lightweight aluminum is continuously cold extruded and butted for weight reduction and superior strength. Frames built with Alpha Gold feature some degree of mechanical and hydroforming to create more sophisticated shapes for lighter weight, and are finished using Trek's smooth-weld finishing process.
