Alternator Dropouts Instructions • Adjustable Ride Characteristics- Using the Alternator dropouts, geared riders can finetune the ride characteristics of their bike by adjusting chainstay length and overall wheelbase to be quick and nimble, or longer and more stable • Set-It-And-Forget-It Singlespeed Setup- The Alternator dropouts swinging design and set screws offer quick setup and tensioning. Vertical wheel entry means no re-tensioning or brake adjustments are necessary after a wheel change. Slip-free and creak-free performance • Replaceable/Serviceable Hardware- Alternator swing plates (geared, single, and left) are all replaceable, and all the bolt hardware is standard-size metric socket head cap screws (also available in a replacement kit) • Versatile Crank/Gearing Options- Accepts new-school mountain doubles or traditional mountain triple cranksets allowing you to choose the appropriate gearing for ripping singletrack or loaded backcountry bikepacking • Waterbottle Bosses- 1 per frame on XS and S sizes; 2 per frame for M, L, XL sizes • Generous Tire Clearance- Fits 29 x 2.4" tire w/ ample mud clearance |
