Norco chose to design the Aurum around the real-world benefits of a 7-speed cassette, using 142mm rear axle spacing to optimize the chainline and increase heel clearance, while keeping tighter gear ratios for race-winning runs. For the Aurum C7 you get snappy shifts from the SRAM GX drivetrain with an 11-25T 7-speed cassette, SRAM Code R brakes with 200mm rotors, and a burly Race Face crankset. Maxxis Minion DHF tires track with confidence, while the DT Swiss EX 512 rims laced to WTB STP hubs reduce wheel flex and boost tire grip. Trail grading duty is assigned to the revered RockShox Boxxer RC Team fork, and the RockShox Vivid RC2C Coil rear shock returns a supple, planted feel and big-hit capability when you need it most.
