Merida Scultura Disc 4000 (2017)

The 2017 Merida Scultura Disc 4000 is a mid-range road bike. The all-carbon frame is designed from the ground up to seamlessly integrate disc brakes, providing mounts and clean cable routing for the stalwart, sensitive RS505 hydraulics. The drivetrain nicely complements the brakes, Shimano's always-reliable, clean-shifting 105. Climbers will appreciate the gearing on the 4000; a near 1:1 low is ready to power up the nearest Alp. Merida provides cockpit and wheels, the latter the smooth-rolling Comp 22s, clad in fast Continental semi-slicks.
