Malvern Star Sparkle 16 (2016)

The 2016 Malvern Star Sparkle 16 is a smashing kid's bike. Designed for riders just starting out, the Sparkle is equipped with training wheels to stabilize that first trip, and a stem pad for possible spills. Visual appeal is astonishing: the coral pink base color is replicated on frame, fork, handelbar and chainguard, all profusely covered in stylized starry graphics, with complementary contrasts, from the teal chainring and training wheels to the bright white tires, saddle and grips. Accessories are also adorned, from the wicker basket's floral motif to the 'child seat' doll carrier in matching pink and white. Last but definitely not least, rainbow streamers depend from the grips. The newest and most timorous of new riders will find the bright Sparkle irresistible.
Underneath the glorious exterior is a solid, reliable bike. A sturdy steel frame is made comfortable with a low standover height and relaxed upright seating, and equipped with simple, durable components, from the single gear and big grippy platform pedals to the brakes, both coaster and hand operated for easy stops.
