Malvern Star Axis 2 (2017)

The 2017 Malvern Star Axis 2 is an entry-level mountain bike. Kit is top-notch throughout: Shimano provides the clean-shifting Altus drivetrain, powerful hydraulic disc brakes, and sealed-bearing hubs for the light, tough alloy wheelset, the last clad in Kenda's Turnbull Canyon treads, the aggressive, tight tread pattern offering substantial traction and bite in the corners. The light, responsive aluminum frame is paired with a beefed-up Suntour suspension fork for a fast, smooth ride.
A very good introductory mountain bike.
