An entirely new platform for 2016. The Alto Irpavi receives its name from the high altitude velodrome where Sir Chris broke the 500m world record. Sir Chris never needed brakes when on the track, but they certainly come in use when riding near his home in the Peak District! Equipped with disc brakes, the Alto Irpavi benefits from reliable stopping power in all conditions. The triple-butted 6066 aluminium frame with frame-size specific tubing is lightweight with a focus on stiffness-to-weight rather than lowest weight at all costs and it remains comfortable due to the bridgeless seat stays and thin-wall main frame. The geometry has been refined to maximise the speed that good discs and sure-tracking through-axle dropouts allow while retaining the inspiring handling feel that made the Sa Calobra such a popular bike. For riders who want a great all-round road bike with consistent braking in any situation, this is our highest performance bike to date.
