These steps result in a lightweight responsive frame that minimizes rider fatigue and maintains quality Control Taper By using a Control Taper head tube with 1-1/8” upper bearings and 1-1/2” lower bearings, Felt is able to significantly improve front-end stiffness and steering precision without adding weight to the frameset. Hydroform The Hydroform manufacturing process is used to create lightweight, stiff and strong aluminum frames. With hydroforming – an internal hydraulic forming process – Felt is able to eliminate the need for gussets and can use radically shaped tubes to optimize the bike’s ride quality. |
