Canyon Grail CF SL Disc 7.0 (2019)
Regardless whether it's surfy singletrack, switchback road descents or fireroad climbs, the Grail CF SL 7.0 is serious, boundless fun. At just 1,040 grams in a medium frame, this lightweight carbon platform offers the durability and comfort you'll want when you hit broken roads and rooted trails. The Sport Geometry that offers a slightly shorter reach and higher stack than our Inflite cyclocross racing bike means that you can count on true comfort during long hours in the saddle. Our innovative Grail Cockpit is the star here, with optimized ergonomics and stiffness out of saddle, while the engineered flexibility on the bar top allows the Grail Cockpit – not your forearm – to absorb the micro bumps inherent in a gravel ride, greatly reducing your fatigue. In parallel, the use of Canyon's S23 VCLS 2.0 seat post with its leaf spring vertical compliance will keep your seated body from being beaten over hours in the saddle. A set of aluminum DT Swiss C 1800 Disc wheels offer a balance of durability and lightweight performance, delivering snap on the climbs and nimble handling on muddy, rutted trails. A set of Schwalbe G-One Bite tires present low rolling resistance on the road and plenty of shoulder for cornering grip on the dirt. To ensure equally agile handling across all sizes, the 2XS and XS come with 650b wheels, meaning zero steering and smooth handling geometry for the small riders. Topping off this reliable build, a Shimano 105 groupset will provide prime performance while helping to keep the costs down. On a practical note, eyelets for fender mounts will give you the option of adding that extra wet weather protection. The Grail CF SL 7.0 will give you that extra inspiration never to miss a ride, no matter the conditions.
