Roval is a venerable name in bicycle wheels. The original Roval was formed by French engineer Claude Lehanneur, who produced the first complete bicycle wheel systems back in the 1970s. Specialized resurrected the name in 2005, building to Lehanneur's designs with modern technology and materials. In 2008, new Rovals for team Quick Step drew talent from Specialized, hubs and spoke patterns, and Campagnolo, who provided its exceptional rims and assembly. Today Rovals populate the upper end of all lines of Specialized bikes.
