Rock 'N' Roll Lubrication is a manufacturer of lubricants. A small, five-person manufactory based in Idaho in the U.S., it produces a range of chain lubes and greases for bikes, as well as a number of lubricants for other applications, from motorcycles to firearms to fishing gear. Garnering very good press from its beginning, R'n'R's chain lube has been a broad success in the industry, a favorite among amateurs, racers, and shop mechanics.

Founded in 2007 by ex-pro road racer Mark Patterson, the company has expanded its offerings from the original chain lube to include three chain lubes, for varied applications and riding conditions, a cleanser and degreaser, a Loctite-style gripping paste for spoke nipples, a cable lube, and four greases, including two special-purpose, one for posts and the other for bearings.

R'n'R chain lubes are designed to cleanse and lubricate in one application, intended to simplify use and extend the life of the drivetrain by removing abrasives, rather than covering them over, allowing wear to continue. The heavy Gold lube is intended for all riders, in any conditions; the lighter Absolute Dry, meant for road riders only, is formulated to resist picking up dirt at all.

The specialty greases have decidedly different formulas. The Super Coat attaches promiscuously to any nearby surface, smoothing the entry and exit of stems and posts, and providing an excellent water barrier. The Super Web adheres to bearings, providing the smoothest possible rolling surfaces, and parting only under duress, keeping bearing surfaces lubricated in the wet or dry.

Riders of all stripes have drivetrains to maintain, wheels to true, seats to adjust, and hands to clean. Make this a smooth operation with lubricants from Rock 'N' Roll. Ask at your local shop for Rock 'N' Roll's chain lubes, greases or cleansers and ease your maintenance.
