FeaturesCrankset: 765g The Shimano Hollowtech II technology continues as a bench mark in the crank and bottom bracket strength to weight category. The bearings are as far apart as possible, eliminating axle flex. Efficiency is also maximized because the bearings primarily carry radial loads resulting in lower overall friction and drag. The wider stance benefits bicycle manufacturers allowing extra real estate to fortify the bottom bracket area of the frame to keep flex to a minimum. - Dura-Ace proven 4-arm design: Same stiffness and lighter weight - 14g lighter weight and half the friction of the SM-BB6700, while maintaining the same durability - Variety choice of gearing 53x39 / 52x36 / 50x34T / 46-36T - Crank Length Options: 165,170,172.5,175 - Chainring Options: 53-39,50-34,52-36,46-36 Shifters: 580g Ultegra 6870 Dual Control shift levers, completely new design features a short-stroke ergonomic lever for effortless shifting. - Instant, accurate shifts - Improved ergonomics for easier access to the shift buttons from the top of the hoods Cassette: 212g A more rigid aluminum carrier keeps the HyperGlide cogs in check when shifting under load and each shift is lightning quick thanks to revised tooth profiles. New gear ratio options add combinations which work particularly well in combination with compact gearing. - Rider tuned wider gearing options with 11-speed - Ratio Options: 11-23T; 11-25T; 12-25T; 11-28T; 11-32T Chain: 253g ULTERGA now features an asymmetrical (directional) chain. Shifting precision and smoothness has been significantly improved through the use of different inner and outer plate chamfers and dimensions to accommodate the different shifting requirements of moving the chain inward and outward on the drivetrain. Redesigned SIL-TEC Chain for 11-Speed - SIL-TEC coating 11-speed chain Front Derailleur: 155g The wide inner link with two anchored pivot points resists flex and moves the chain with authority. Combined with the new HollowGlide chainring, instant shifts under load require no more attention than any other shift. Compatible with Shimano Di2 E-Tube Project. - Precision actuators move the cage swiftly and smoothly for fast, silent, and accurate front shifts every time Rear Derailleur: 195g Quick, precise, electronic shifts. The new body and cage design accommodates a 28 tooth large cog so the mountain stages can be attacked with confidence. Compatible with Shimano Di2 E-Tube Project. - Precise, lightning-fast shifts across an 11-speed cassette, whatever the conditions, with just a button click - Maximum Sprocket: low: 28T, top:12T - Minimum Sprocket: low: 23T, top:11T - Maximum Front Difference: 16T Brakes BR-6800 (Mechanical): - With new polymer-coated BC-R680 cables, new brakes give smooth, light operation with excellent modulation - Greater braking power modulation - Brand-new SLR with 2 axle symmetric brake calliper - New Brake shoe compound (R55C4) - Adjustable toe-in brake shoes - Spring tension adjuster BR-R785 Dual control lever: Despite the integration of a mineral oil reservoir in the lever SHIMANO’s engineers were able to develop a compact Di2 dual control lever (ST-R785) to create a comfortable and natural hand position for all day riding comfort. When descending with rim brakes riders use much power and energy to stop for a turn or even a hairpin. Hydraulic disc brakes have more stopping power and allow riders to brake more efficiently with less energy. Heat management: SHIMANO equipped its hydraulic disc brakes with Ice technology. A technology that has been introduced at mountain bike groupsets like XTR and XT. Ice technology is a cooling technology for consistent performance. The clad rotor blade, which has a 3 layer-sandwich structure of stainless steel and aluminium, provides a better radiation performance that reduces the temperature approximately 100 degrees. There are two FREEZA SM-RT99 rotor size options for customizable braking performance. 140mm as a standard and 160mm as an option for people who require more brake power. SHIMANO incorporated aluminium fins in the rotor for enhanced heat control. With an increased surface area for heat dispersion, the rotor achieves an additional 50 degrees reduction in heat. The effect of SHIMANO’s heat management is that the hydraulic disc brakes have no weight restrictions (in normal road usage). Both rotors use a centre lock disc mount. Centre lock provides a quick and easy rotor installation and gives the bike a clean and compact design.
