Review

The Revenio Carbon 3.0 is another quality product from the 'new' look Raleigh. This model is part of the "endurance race" lineup and as such, is designed not ony for compliance or rider comfort, but also for performance.

Indeed, the beefy headtube with 1.5" lower bearing is all about rigidity and extracting maximum performance from the front end with its full carbon monocoque fork. Likewise the 31.6mm seatpost is a little wider than usually found on a "compliant" sport bike, but hints at the capacity for the Revenio to be ridden hard and fast.

I like that Raleigh have used an almost complete Ultegra groupset (apart from brake calipers), right down to the chain and cassette. This is an uncommon practice at this level and is to be commended. The rest of the in-house Avenir components do their job well, and lets face it, this isn't a pro bike and is priced as such.

The only downfall is perhaps the wheels, which is probably the only place the components shout that this is a recreational endurance bike. They certainly keep the cost down and perhaps would be a future upgrade if you wanted to experience the "race" part of "endurance race". For the average punter they would perform adequately.

In short this is another great looking and specced bike from Raleigh and a worthy option for someone looking for a comfortable endurance bike to ride hard (or potentially race), on the weekend.
