Orbea Oiz M10-TR (2019)

The OMR frame uses the most technologically advanced carbon construction available to make the most sophisticated frame possible. Prepreg carbon sheets are laser cut to minimize excess materials and overlap, and hours of premolding ensure optimal compaction with the smallest amount of carbon. In an easily-overlooked detail, Orbea routed the rear shock lockout cable inside the frame’s top tube. This hides the lockout from mud and keeps it out of your way as you grab a water bottle, while maintaining lockout control at your fingertips. This improvement also freed up space in the front triangle—enough for two bottle mounts on the MD, LG, and XL frames. Furthermore, in the quest for stiffness and clean lines, Orbea developed the Fiberlink rear linkage. This carbon fiber injected unit has a perfect blend of low weight and impressive rigidity and integrates seamlessly into the frame and seat tube.

Refinements of Oiz’s World Cup Geometry are born from years of designing world-class XC bikes. The position is aggressive, comfortable and fast. Handling is precise and intuitive for maximum agility. The frame angles and dimensions are carefully considered across the full range of sizes to optimize fit and maximize efficiency for every rider. Boost spacing adds rigidity for improved and more predictable handling, as well as increases wheel strength. A selection of high-performance components rounds out the build, including Fox suspension, a saddle from Selle Italia, and 120TPI Maxxis Ikon tires.
