Review

The Norco Sight is a proven platform for all mountain riding. The 140 mm travel bike floats on Rockshox Monarch RL and Revelation RL solo air; RL meaning Rebound adjustment and Lock-out. The patented A.R.T. Suspension design climbs well, while remaining lively and fun on the descent. The hydro-formed aluminum frame feels stiff - you should have no problems leaning the Sight into the corners.

The Shimano build kit is good with Deore brakes, SLX shifters, and an XT rear derailleur, but it would have been nice to see the whole kit SLX and XT; the mixture is a bit muddled. Norco also uses a catalog bar and stem on the Sight A 7.1 and it would have been nice to see them use something custom like RaceFace. The KS E-Ten dropper post is alright. LEV would be better, but the cost of upgrading the dropper would bring the price of the bike up considerably.

With an MSRP of $2755 USD you get a solid all mountain bike. The Norco Sight A 7.1 is a good looking, good performing bike with a relatively low price. The suspension design is smooth and climbs well, providing the rider with a solid platform to eventually upgrade. Yes, you can get a better bike with a higher spec, but you're going to pay a lot more than $2755 for it. For the price this bike is a solid performer and will handle almost anything you can throw at it.

Details

The 2015 Norco Sight A 7.1 is a mid-range all-mountain bike. Built on a light, responsive aluminum frame, suspended front and back by Rock Shox for a very smooth, comfortable all-day ride. Kitted out very nicely, with primarily quality Shimano components, including a clean, quick-shifting SLX mix drivetrain, the sure-stopping Deore hydraulic disc brakes, and a light, fast-rolling Shimano/Sun wheelset, clad in high traction Maxxis treads. The bumblebee black-and-yellow color scheme is visually arresting.
A good all-mountain bike.
