Description

Poise and grace aren't typically used to describe a blazing DH run, but one ride aboard Norco's Aurum might have you singing the praises of the refined composure of this speed fiend's character. 27.5-inch wheels provide a quick and stable foundation, while precision carbon fiber engineering gives the Aurum's frame loads of stiffness for pinpoint control. Norco chose to design the Aurum around the real-world benefits of a 7-speed cassette, using 142mm rear axle spacing to optimize the chainline and increase heel clearance, while keeping tighter gear ratios for race-winning runs. For the Aurum C7.1 you get snappy shifts from the SRAM X0 drivetrain with an 10-24T 7-speed cassette, SRAM Guide RSC brakes with 200mm rotors, and a light and strong Race Face SixC Carbon crankset. Schwalbe Magic Mary Super Gravity tires track with confidence, while the DT Swiss EX 511 rims laced to DT 240 hubs reduces wheel flex and boosts tire grip. Trail grading duty is assigned to the plush Fox Float 40 Factory fork, and the Fox Float X2 Factory rear shock returns ultimate traction and big-hit stability when you need it most.
