Mongoose Legion L40 (2017)

The 2017 Mongoose Legion L40 is a mid-range BMX freestyle bike. A solid build from the pavement up, the L40 starts with fat chevron-treaded tires, the soft compound providing formidable grip on ramp, quarter-pipe or street. Beneath the treads are a pair of light, tough hoops, alloy rims laced to sealed-bearing hubs. The drivetrain incorporates a three-piece tubular chromoly crankset, fat plastic pinned platforms, sure-footed above and slick below, and a stalwart KMC chain. Spinners will be pleased with the rotor; Mongoose's double-pull mechanism works reliably and offers surprising sensitivity.
