Merida Big.Nine 20 Disc (2017)

The 2017 Merida Big.Nine 20 Disc is an entry-level front-suspension cross-country mountain bike. A nice introduction to off-roading, the Nine is a good bike for medium to tall riders, with 29er hoops and a range of larger sizes, geometry to fit.  The lighweight, sturdy frame is kitted out with solid componentry, including a clean-shifting Shimano Altus/Acera drivetrain, Tektro's hydraulic disc brakes, and Merida's own cockpit and wheelset, the latter equipped with versatile treads at home on dirt, gravel, grass, or pavement.
A good starter off-road bike.
