Malvern Star Livewire 20i (2016)

The 2016 Malvern Star Livewire 20i is a kid's bike. Designed for developing young cyclists, the 20i adds internal gearing, its simple operation a boon for riders new to gears. The kit is otherwise in line with the rest of Malvern Star's 20" kid's bikes: a straight gear line, both coaster and hand brakes, and lightly treaded tires best for the road but not averse to an adventure in the park or on the trail.
The Livewire is laid out in a very friendly fashion. Its lightweight, sturdy aluminum frame has a low standover height and relaxed upright seating, steering stability enhanced with a wide high-rise bar. The seat and grips are padded, pedals are broad, grippy platforms, and the chainring and rear shifter are both protected from casual stop-and-drops.
A very good kid's bike, for riders looking to grow in cycling sophistication.
