Malvern Star Axis 2 (2016)

The 2016 Malvern Star Axis 2 is an entry-level cross-country mountain bike. Its lightweight aluminum frame is offered in a range of sizes, with componentry selected to match: stem, bar, crankarm, seatpost and wheel diameter are chosen proportional to each of the six widely spaced frames, one sure to fit practically any rider. The wheels, here in 27.5" or 29er, are tough, fast-rolling alloy, wrapped in grippy Kenda tires, offering high-traction confidence on the trail. Kit is commensurate: a clean-shifting Shimano drivetrain and powerful Tektro hydraulic disc brakes.
A very good beginner's mountain bike.
